Using the Message Center - Documentation for BMC AMI Catalog Manager for Db2 13.1

The Message Center displays notifications containing information about product usage, announcements of product updates, and warnings about compatibility issues. 

Important

If messages are available, Catalog Manager automatically displays the Message Center when you perform your first action.

To use the Message Center

  1. From the Primary Menu panel, an object list panel, or a utility panel, type OPTIONS (OPT) on the Command line.
  2. Press Enter.

    The Options panel is displayed.

  3. In the Message Center field, type Y.

    The Message Center panel is displayed below:

     Message Center Row 1 to 1 of 1 Command ===> Scroll ===> PAGE Type S to view more details about the message. Type H to hide the message from this panel. S/H Sev ID Text ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _ I WELCOME Welcome! This is Catalog Manager's Message Center. It wil ******************************* Bottom of data ******************************** 
  4. In the S/H field, type:
    • S next to message(s) to view their details and then press Enter. The Message Detail panel is displayed with the details of the first message you selected. 
    • H next to the message(s) you want excluded from the list of messages when Catalog Manager automatically displays the Message Center panel.
  5. In the Hide message field of the Message Details panel, type one of the following values to indicate whether or not to exclude the message from the list of messages when Catalog Manager automatically displays the Message Center panel.
    • Y to exclude the message from the list
    • N to include the message in the list

This is Catalog Manager's Message Center. It will be
    used periodically to provide you with informational messages related to Catalog
    Manager.
    You can prevent this message from displaying again by placing a Y in the Hide
    message field. You can enter OPT 10 from the command line to view all messages
    in the Message Center. 
  6. Press END to return to the Message Center panel.

    Important

    If you selected multiple messages, the Message Center displays the next message selected until all messages have been displayed.

  7. Press END to return to the Options panel or proceed with your requested action.
