One big question on everyone's mind who loves Saved by the Bell is whether or not Mark-Paul Gosselaar will return for the new reoot. After all, he did play the lead character on the original show, Zack Morris, so how could there be a reboot without him? Plus, he said he'd love to be a part of the new iteration (as much as his current contracts allow) in an interview with ET Canada.
However, while Gosselaar's character was mentioned in the Saved by the Bell reboot's description, The Wrap reported that they're "still working out deals." Unfortunately, however, Gosselaar said that he hadn't been included in any talks. "I read it in the trades just like everybody else this morning," he revealed in an interview with Variety. "Honestly, I was never approached. I woke up to the news this morning with a kind of 'huh' response."
While that might be due to the fact that he's a regular on ABC's Mixed-ish, a show on a competitor network, he confirmed that he didn't know how far along the talks were. Fingers crossed that they can work something out!
