David Shaw, Actress Split After 9 Years of Marriage

Glenn Close and husband David Shaw have divorced quietly after nine years of marriage.

The amicable split was a mutual decision, Close’s rep tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Close and venture capitalist Shaw, the managing partner of Black Point Group investment firm, wed in 2006 in what was her third wedding. She previously was married to songwriter Cabot Wade and to businessman James Marlas. Close has one daughter, Annie Starke, from a relationship with movie producer John Starke.

Close currently is filming the sci-fi thriller What Happened to Monday? alongside Willem Dafoe and Noomi Rapace. She recently wrapped the Colm McCarthy-directed postapocalyptic zombie thriller, She Who Brings Gifts, with Paddy Considine and Gemma Arterton.

Next year, Close will reprise her Tony-winning starring role as Norma Desmond in the London revival of Sunset Boulevard. Close is also in the cast of the upcoming Ed HelmsOwen Wilson Warner Bros. comedy, Bastards, which is set to hit theaters in November of next year.
